Several years ago, we launched our Explore and Explore Jr. programs which allow children and young people to discover more about the Creator and his creation through hands-on activities and expert teaching from a biblical worldview perspective. These programs have been incredibly popular, with many adults wishing they could join in! So, I’m excited to announce the launch of Exploration. Such programs are really unique in the world.
Exploration takes our Explore programs to a new level for adults (18+). We had our first program earlier this year, Forensic Exploration, which sold out quickly. Participants had a great time learning about forensic science and solving a big case. And next year we’re hosting two new Exploration programs, Drone Exploration and Environmental Science Exploration, both at the Ark Encounter, south of Cincinnati.
In Drone Exploration, you’ll join a certified drone pilot who will show you how to fly a drone and even do it for the glory of God in this interactive STEM program. You’ll be introduced to the expanding technology and use of unmanned aircraft systems in science while learning about flight safety, regulations, and operation. Each attendee will get an up-close look at a drone in action as well as build their own drone to take home and fly!

Our Environmental Science Exploration takes place over two days, with a night hike during the first day, as you discover what it means to exercise righteous dominion over God’s creation. You’ll learn about food sustainability by building your own compost bin, conduct field research, and participate in an interactive tour of our on-site aquaponics system and horticulture center. It’s a great way to discover more about ecology through the lens of a biblical worldview.
