Hank Hanegraaff talks with author Marcellino D’Ambrosio about his book, When the Church Was Young: Voices of the Early Fathers . Dr. Italy, as he is affectionately known, holds a Ph.D. in historical theology from the Catholic University of America and is a professor at the International Catholic University. Particularly noteworthy about When the Church was Young is that it underscores the common heritage of the faith once for all delivered to the saints. Long before the words Orthodox, Catholic, and Evangelical were used as labels, the Fathers of the church gloried in one Faith and in one united body of Christ. By understanding our common inheritance, the genuine body of Christ can move toward an answer to the Lord’s High Priestly Prayer—move toward unity around the essentials of our common faith—a faith hammered out in the Ecumenical Councils and codified in the Creeds.
Truth Matters, Life Matters More with Hank Hanegraaff is sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
